To register with the Italian National Health Service (SSN), you must go in person to the AUSL office without appointment.
Requirements:
- Valid residence permit (permesso di soggiorno)
or
- Receipt of residence permit application validated by the Police Headquarters (Questura)
In some cases, a financial contribution may be required.
